Now is the time to start making plans to attend next year’s Deubrook Alumni banquet on July 17, 2010! Classes ending in 0 and 5 will be honored. Watch for details at a later date.

Two hundred and eighty White High and Deubrook Graduates, friends of Deubrook, and former students gathered on Saturday, July 18 for the 2009 annual Alumni Banquet. It was great seeing former friends and classmates and celebrating White’s 125^th Anniversary! We hope everyone enjoyed their time with us and enjoyed the weekend of festivities the committee had planned for us. We hope everyone also had the opportunity to visit the White Historical Museum and the special programs they had for the weekend visitors. Many hours of planning and preparation went into all the events and we hope that those visiting enjoyed they weekend.

We also held a Fun Run/Walk (5 K & 3 K) on Saturday morning, July 18 and had 40 participants this year. We hope to make it an annual event, so everyone can start training for next year! Thank you to Paul Ekern for coordinating the event, and his helpers, Kristi Ekern, Shari Landmark, and Dean Kruse. A big thank you to them for their help.

DEUBROOK ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP FUND DRIVE: Meighan Robbins, 2009 Deubrook graduate, was the 2009 Deubrook Alumni Scholarship recipient of the annual scholarship of $500. She is the daughter of Pat and Michelle Robbins. Congratulations to Meighan and we wish her well in her future education plans.
